How ISKCON Started
ISKCON stands for the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, which is a worldwide spiritual organization founded in 1966 by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. The primary aim of ISKCON is to spread the teachings of Bhagavad Gita and the practice of bhakti yoga, particularly focused on the worship of Lord Krishna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
